Mod Release: Beyond Ferelden Base Chest

Beyond Ferelden Base Chest

Description

Once you install this AddIn you will find an ornate chest named Beyond Ferelden in the party camp. Any AddIns I release that give the player items will place those items into the chest. The chest can also be used for storage.

Download: Dragon Age NexusDAMods.

History

  • v1.0 (11/18/2009) Initial release.

Install

1. Use DAUpdater.exe (located in your Dragon Age install directory, in the bin_ship subdirextory) and select the DAZip file.
2. Select the AddIn in the list and click install.
3. Once the progress says “Installed.”, exit DAUpdater and run the game.
4. On the main menu, select “Downloadedable Content”, and then select the “Installed Content” tab.
5. Ensure that the AddIn is enabled.

Uninstall

Currently there is no user-friendly way to un-install a DAZip based Addin, but the AddIn can be disabled.
1. Run the game and on the main menu select “Downloadable Content”, and then select the “Installed Content” tab.
2. Find the AddIn in the list and Un-check it to disable the AddIn.

Compatibility

This mod should be fully compatible with the base game and all mods

    Hello

Great mod, but unfortunately it has an issue with the popular “Auto Loot” mod:

    Thanks in advance!

Woops, I forgot to be specific.

Items place in the chest just fine. When closing the chest, you loot all the items in it. Probably more of an issue with the Auto Loot mod, but thought I’d let you know also.

Sounds more of a problem with that mod, not mine. But I will speak with the author.

The latest version. of AutoLoot has a loot-exception for this chest, so it should no longer be an issue.

This is a fantastic blog, with some very useful information. I have one question about this particular mod; if I have installed it, how can I script my own items to spawn in it? Thanks!

Is there any way to mod this to use multiple chest? Or any tutorials u can point me to to make a mod with multiple chests. So one could store Armor in one, weapons in another, etc…

    Thanks in advance!

Hello, this mod won’t work for me. I’ve installed it with DAUpdater and tried it also with the DAO-Modmanager. My problem is that this chest doesn’t exists in the Base Camp.

The only other Mods i use are weapon and armor mods and the whole DLC’s.

Could anyone, maybe you John, help me with this problem ?

    nice regards
